Advice re: brown spots & yellow leaf on new Kentia Palm

Hello!

My first post here :)

My partner and I have recently been given a Kentia Palm, no more than a month ago.

To date the plant has not received a lot of natural light, really, as it has been indoors in an area where the light doesn't reach too well (after some research I know this i not preferable and will ensure the palm gets some indirect natural light from now on!)

We water the palm about once a week, just when the soil is looking dry. It has a dish under its pot to catch water as it is positioned inside.

Recently some of the fronds have developed brown dry spots, and almost a whole small leaf has turned yellow from green - please see photos attached!

Would appreciate any advice please! Am I over or under watering maybe? Should there be straight drainage and no dish under the plant? Is it the lack of light?

Thank you very much! :)
