Looked up C-Tech which is C-Tech-I in South Carolina, their site claims they are mfrs. of "luxury sinks." However, that seems to refer to the design process; they do not mention where their sinks are made. Had an interesting conversation with Dino owner of Rachielle sinks, a custom 16-gauge line who has found that all sinks are made in China these days (his are not--strictly in house U.S.). His research led him to say that Elkay does good quality control in China in their own factory with their own people (I quote Dino). Not knowing where Ticor is made, I opted for a Rachiele stainless sink because the measurements were what I was looking for and his web site gave enough info for my husband Mr.Cautious to trust the mfr. process. We have a black Blanco silgranite sink -- it is wonderful. The flat finish seems to hide everything; there are no waterspots. After looking at many options, we purchased the 1 3/4 size in charcoal (black). I like having one very large sink (long and wide enough to soak a large casserole or roasting pan) with a small sink to drain things and/or get rid of things that need the garbage disposal. We did get the silver grate for the bottom of the large sink and like it very much. It gives us the advantages of a drain rack to dry items without resting them on the bottom of the sink. I clean off the rack when I clean out the sink; it can also fit into the dishwater if we need to sanitize it. Carol

I'm looking for one large under-mounted stainless steel bowl. (We are taking out a two-bowl sink which completely did not work for us). Any sense of how a Kohler would stack up against a Kraus?
