Need help with Green Paint for Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room
Comments (13)Keep in mind that the color will look different if it is sampled on a painted wall. You should be able to mix colors and have it color matched--although depending on the skill of the salesperson, the match may not be perfect. We have done colors at 50%--I think that also depends on the salesperson as to how they do it. For us, we had SW softer tan mixed at 50% and it was just lighter than the original shade. I had sooooo many paint samples up--I did large portions of the wall in the samples--but having the samples side by side and doing them on top of our existing yellow walls really affected how the color looked and made it hard to judge how the end result would look. I ended up picking my favorite and painting as much of the wall as the sample allowed to get the best idea of how it would look. The svelte sage and grassland were definitely way too gray in my house. If you do a search, there have been other posts on greens--I know it was helpful when I was trying pick a green. I think I even had a thread and someone suggested a nice Behr color or maybe a lowe's color--it didn't work in my space as I needed to coordinate it with a tan adjoining wall--but it was nice--I just can't remember the color....See MoreHelp with small kitchen-living-dining room
Comments (10)Hi guys, Thanks very much for your replies! @mdln: I also thought about a similar distribution (I'll post the plan if I can find it), but it doesn't have much kitchen storage (on mine there's a counter). Also the sofa isn't big enough for 4 people. But thanks very much for trying! :) @benjesbride: Thanks very much for taking the effort of drawing it too. Moving the kitchen to that bedroom was my original idea too. The size of the flat (60m2) is more appropriate for 2 than 3 bedroom. But unfortunately it is a requirement to have 3 bedrooms, so I just can play around with the distribution of the main area. I attach a distribution I made when thinking about moving the kitchen to that bedroom. As you can see is very close to yours, even the laundry is moved to the main bathroom ;) I guess with the given space there aren't many more options than what mdln or I did. I will give it another thought and if I don't get better ideas just go with it. Thanks very much for your input, it really helps!...See MoreHelp laying out living/dining room in small apartment?
Comments (5)The only item that might be a problem is the kitchen island. You have a modern apartment, with fairly modern/eclectic bookcase and couch, but the kitchen island is a different style. If you have an overall eclectic style that would work, but otherwise it may need to be switched out for a more modern style....See MoreHelp with Arranging/Decorating Open yet small living and dining room
Comments (5)Where and how do you access the sofas? It looks like there is barely any room to walk around them to go sit down. And from where do you enter? Is that big round thing on the right supposed to be a hanging lamp from ceiling? If so, that space needs to be utilized. Or is it a round table?? Are those windows next to it? And the dark square shape in front of kitchen counter - is it a chair or... what? First, since your kitchen counter and wall to the patio are both angled, could you angle your loveseat and place it where the TV is now? Then, we'll just have to help you figure out where to put TV and big sofa, haha. You do have a bit too much furniture for this space, if the dimensions are scaled correctly. Can you sell the sofa and get a smaller one? These pieces look gigantic in that space. Photos of room would be helpful. I can see this image big and fine on my laptop, but room pics would help....See MoreRelated Professionals
