Arm and Hammer HE detergent
Comments (17)Albertson stores carry Arm and Hammer HE. For instance, the Albertson store in my area is Jewel/Osco, so you will have to go to the Albertsons website to see if there is one near you. You can also contact Church and Dwight and they can tell you where you may be able to get it. Also, if it is of any interest you can now get Arm & Hammer Essentials Free 3X HE at Drugstore.com. However, it is pretty expensive. I am waiting for it to come out in stores before I try it as it will not cost as much. When I called Church and Dwight they asked me if I could call back in a couple months to check on the store availablity status of the new detergent. It is so new to the market that it has not really hit any stores yet....See MoreArm and Hammer
Comments (22)Several months ago I was at my sons home and helped fold a load of towels, they smelled strongly of detergent and were stiff. It was Obvious they had been overdosed with detergent. when I explained to daughter in law she let me take the towels home to * work on lol. First load I ran thru a hot wash with nothing added, there was a ton of suds I couldn't believe probably 3 inches...it took the wash and 3 rinses to get clear water. The second load I added stpp to the hot wash, again tons of suds, but 1st rinse was clear.I almost always have better rinsing if I use stpp in the wash cycle. Stpp does more than soften water it binds up all the mineral deposits, soap, detergent ect.. and keeps it from redepositing on clothing. You do use less detergent when using stpp as it makes the detergent work harder. Some people that have suds issues when using stpp is probably because they are using the same amount of detergent as they did without stpp. Its really trial and error when you first start using the stpp.I've found the best method is premixing, I think it was sudsmaster over at AW site that recommends 1 part stpp to 2 parts detergent by weight..so I add 2 pounds detergent to 1 pound stpp, stir it up or shake it up. This formula tends to cause less detergent overdosing, however you can't premixwith lliquid detergent, so you do have to add both separately being careful to use less detergent than you would without stpp, i'd start with 1/2 the usual amount of detergent. About towels and stpp, lol..be sure to use less detergent with the stpp and you should have no rinsing issues and softer towels.I should tell you since stpp strips detergent residue out of clothing when you first use it, even using less detergent you may have more suds than you like if the clothing has built up detergent. Check out amazon they have a 2 pound bag of stpp with free shipping for under 13 dollars....See MoreAnyone try this Arm & Hammer powder Detergent?
Comments (4)It does OK suds wise. I would start with less and if no suds work your way up to amount it calls for OR just go with what you normally use. I used 1/4 cup but if bigger load or dirtier 1/3 cup. Cleans well or mine did. I got a coupon one time for a free box any size so I got this one. Very fine powder, not grains like most.(soda). Been a while since I used mine so it may be more like the pods now and be lower suds. I have used the Free version one time and it did really well but suds way more than this....See MoreNew Arm and Hammer Detergent-BioEnzyme Power
Comments (23)Welcome JP Hope! So happy you created an account and posted. You'll find a lot of love here. I'm not sure if A&H discontinued this formula. I'd also be concerned that it is being discontinued if it's becoming harder to find. You can always contact Church and Dwight to get a definitive answer. From everything I've read, anyone who uses it loves it. A true workhorse detergent. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to try it myself....See Morealways1stepbehind
