Some greenhouse peppers have no flowers!
Comments (18)@woohooman on your question on why I use a greenhouse. I didn't use to until last year when a rabbit (?) took out all my plants on one weekend in July... Bit every top off and left two inches stems for about 75 plants. After babying the seedling since March, that hurts. We're in the city so building an elaborate fence is not simple, so this seemed easier. Also protects from hail, which we do we get in bursts (and often when I'm at the cottage!!). And of course, our season here is relatively short, so I was able to start the plants outside earlier and get most fruits to mature before the nights get too cold. I use an automatic watering system because we leave for large parts of the summer, so the lack of natural rain is not an issue. So it seems the likely culprit here is the lack of air circulation, which can affect some types more than others. I presume it's too late to address now that the plants are so large? Or could they start flowering this late?...See MoreYellowing leaves
Comments (2)if it is only on lower and larger and a few leaves, then don't sweat it. Your plant is just doing what it does, in with the new, out with the old....See MoreGreen and pale green/yellow plants?
Comments (3)If you're positive it's not the nutes (deficiency or over fertilizing) or overwatering, my guess would be not enough light. Especially if you moved them from under the fluoros to a window. I wish I still had a link where I just read that a week or two ago, sorry. Doesn't really make sense to me why only a few (not all) would do that though (?). Long story short, I just bought a few plants from CCN that were pretty yellow (pale) that greened right up once I got them home under my fluoros. You can see how pale the older leaves are, vs. how green the new growth is coming in:I bet your plants will green right up once they get outside for good. Good luck....See MoreCarolina Reaper Issues Brown stripes
Comments (2)I don't know where you are in Texas , but They do like sunshine and heat. Getting them through winter will be difficult. Can you put it outside and bring him in for the frosts? Are you an organic gardener? I would take it over to the vegetable forum. Is there a Pepper forum? Is the forum active?...See Moreesox07 (4b) Wisconsin
