Heartily recommend RAB as well, after having gone through some mid range, to the most expensive lights they have at both big home stores - all of which are frankly, awful in terms of reliability and durability. I bought one of these (see link below): installed it, tested it, and was so impressed I ordered two more. Just spectacular build quality, and not but about $10 more than the most expensive (junk) at HD or Lowes. Not to mention aesthetically impressive, with the bold, modernistic design (but not too out there, just enough to make you appreciate that it's not the same old ugly Heath/Zenith stuff that you see on every rental property). I would have preferred their $400 model, but wayyy too much for my budget, especially considering I need about 4 of these. I paid around $100 each. Sounds like either a loose connection or a bad switch. New switches are cheap enough you could try replacing it and seee if it solves the problem. If it is still acting up you'll need to take the light down and inspect the wiring that feeds it, making sure it is always getting power when the switch is turned on.

Thanks for the hint. I am familiar with Progress Lighting. The unit that was suggested was a vacancy sensor, and not an occupancy sensor. At first I thought that they were the same and was trying to figure out the difference. They do perform different functions. I ordered the Occupancy Sensor (motion sensor) with the dimmer and installed it today. You can adjust the length of time until it turns off, and no matter what setting the light dimmer is on, the light will dim for 30 seconds prior to shutting off to let you know. The way that the entranceway is lit, it doesn't make a difference if the tenants go upstairs since their stairs have a wall switch top and bottom. At least they don't have to enter a dark room and fumble for their keys, leaving the entranceway light on all night. Thanks, Rob

I replaced my faulty faucet with another Moen with manual on/off thinking nothing could go wrong. Long story short, after multiple calls to Moen (the handle loosening to the point I was afraid it would fall off) they sent me a replacement "cartridge". Told me the cartridges go bad with these products sitting on the shelf. WHAT?!? I have to pay somebody every time something goes wrong with these Moen products!!!! Never, Never again!!!!!
