Comments (0)We're well over budget as we hit the homestretch, so toilets in the secondary baths aren't my top priority--as long as they flush well. What is "spec'd" is the Gerber 'Maxwell' (never heard of it) but for $100 more we can get the low-end Toto 'Carusoe'. Anyone have any experience with these 2 toilets? We have a Toto Vespin going into our master bath. Just the two of us, no kids using these other baths. Rarely have houseguests. I'll probably upgrade the powder room, though. Comments (6)Jim - I'm not a toilet expert by any means but I would have to say it's probably gravity I guess. Just a regular old flush with the water swirling clockwise (or is it counter clockwise?). The flush doesn't clean the bowl well. It takes forever to fill the tank back up. I never thought I'd be so obsessed with toilets. I'm definitely getting Toto for our new house after all the great things I have read on this forum....See MoreUrine stains around toilet?

It is the reason that I decided not to get the marble floor I loved in the bathroom. That, and dogs. Old dogs who sometimes pee on bath rugs. Urine will etch marble and will stain and sink in over time. One professional who used to post on this forum called marble "hard sponges." Life is too unpredictable to have a fussy floor covering....See Morepopmama (Colorado, USDA z5)
