Ok Rita, this is very fustrating(!!) and I won't be getting a new one till Monday or Tuesday...I wanted to post some pic's I took for ya but that will have to wait till then. But here's a few names for ya,-Var.Plectranthus, Var.Oyster Plant, several Var.Deiffenbachia's, Var.Desert Rose, Var.Corn Plant, Var.Shell Ginger, Alocasia's-Hilo Beauty,&Imperial Taro...ect,ect.(wish I had the pic's!) Well, thank you for your patience,Happy Gardening, Terry.

Here's a follow-up. I pulled my foxtail fern out of the pot. I dusted as much loose soil from the roots as would easily fall away. I then cut the root ball in half with a pruning saw. It was actually rather easy to cut. I then root-pruned each half until I could them nicely and easily into the center of their respective new pots. They turned out pretty good. Carol

Marguerite, they were all like that, as far as I know the new growth comes out that color and matures to a lovely shade of green.

I do wonder about this habit of various Asparagus Ferns getting super long growths indoors. I have a Foxtail variety, and when I got it years ago it had such nice, compact 'foxtails'. Over the last few years with me it's gotten mostly long, gangly fronds. They grow this way regardless of whether the plant's in its low winter light spot inside, or its bright summer location outside. I'd have thought the compactness of growth would depend mostly, if not totally on amount of light received. I'm stumped!
