Meyers Lemon Yellow Spots on Leaves Please Advise

I purchased a very nice Meyers Lemon a few months back. Since
then, it has yellow spots on the leaves. It is growing and has put out
flower buds. No leaves have fallen. I water every few days if dry on
top. It is in sandy type soil it came in. It is under T-5 lights in a
rack.

I fertilize with Foliage Pro weekly. I also use white vinegar in the
water since I read on this forum that they need a low PH and my tap
water (well) is 7.6. The white vinegar brings is down to about 6. It is
on a humidity tray which keeps it about 65-70% humidity. I also mist in
the AM with tap water which I do not put white vinegar in. I am
wondering if that is the problem or it is missing some mineral. I have
used iron as directed two waterings but it had no effect. Can you please
help me fix this tree? I love it and want to get more once I trust
myself.

I can't tell what the spots are because the pic stays small for me..I can help you a bit though to make it happier..You are doing a few things right and I commend your approach..

Just a few questions plus more)

Did your tree have those spots when you bought it or shortly after? Do you use tap water? How much Foliage Pro a week do you apply? When did you bring it in? What Zone do you live in? Did you know that Citrus Trees do not require humidity to perform well? Have you taken a look at the roots gently lifting it from its pot?

I too use vinegar and Foliage Pro, but I am using a mix on all my trees that allows it to drain out freely..You should not have to use Iron if your using that fertilizer, and in fact nothing else at all..

This soil you speak of, can you take a picture if it? Take some out of the pot and get a close up of it please...I am getting the feeling the mix it's in is the cause behind your problem...

How come you are not making sure the root zone is almost dry?

Why are you spraying the leaves every day? Do you use a fan? How close are the lights to that tree from the canopy top? Why are you using lights? Do you have a sunny window?

It arrived fine, yellow spots came after

Yes, well water.

PA zone 5

Foliage pro in water over 1 tsp/gallon

No.

It is sandy soil like cactus mix.

It is very fast draining. I can stick my finger all the way down and it is dry.

Yes. fan. I have orchids in the same room.

No window available and even then only East windows.

Well, shortly after the post, I realized I needed to take action, so I repotted both lemons right away. They were originally put into 12 inch terracotta pots, but I reduced the size of one to a 10 inch terracotta pot (the second stayed in the 12 inch). When I trimmed in the original potting, it was less than an inch off the bottom. I repotted with 1/3 part of cedar shavings (as recommended by Four Winds Growers) and gave them a GOOD SOAKING of water. The roots were quite dry, no root rot had set in, and they were very healthy. The roots looked the same as when they shipped 6 days prior. The GOOD NEWS: the next day after repotting and heavy watering, a few of the buds opened up! They smell fantastic. I imagine the plant wouldn't open buds if it wasn't bouncing back? They've also bee in full sun since Sunday. There are still some yellow leaves, and I lost a few more (maybe 1 a day from each, rather than 6+ a day from each), but I take it they're recovering? After seeing the buds open up, I gave a light feeding and another watering today. We're having night lows in the 50's, so I'm leaving them outside at night now too. Are they on the mend?

Looks like spider mites; you won't see them without a good magnifying glass. A good wash outside or in the shower will go a long way to getting rid of them. My advice... lose the fertilizer spikes and replace with a good soluble citrus fertilizer applied 3-4 times per year according to the label. Your tree looks to be a little underfed; and unhealthy trees are more susceptible to spider mites. I would also get a good foliar fert. and give your tree an application of that about every 15 days; I like Bayer Bayfolan Forte; lots of container growers here use Foliage Pro... there are others. Your tree looks a bit leggy; I am guessing it gets less light than it would like.

Hard to tell. Fungicides don't cause bud drop. But young citrus under stress sometimes do drop buds. Don't worry if it does as it's too young to support fruit anyway without causing a little more stress and it will make more soon enough if its happy. I'd enjoy the flowers if it keeps them and take off any fruit this year. Flowers don't stress it much. Concentrate on growing the tree strong this year so it can give you lots of fruit in the future. Read the threads here about proper soil, watering, etc and you'll be fine. Lot of good info to be found on past threads.

Yellowing meyer lemon tree leaves. Please help.

Hi guys, I recently purchased a meyer lemon tree and it was doing well until this week when the leaves began to turn yellow. The yellowing appeared punched out and appears more prominent on the sides. I am not sure what can cause this. My soil humidity level is ok, I'm using parrot which helps to prevent over watering. I've attached few photos. Any help is highly appreciated. I really don't want this plant to die. Thank you!
