Comments (4)We have a Grohe rainhead shower, and I've never had a problem with it not being able to clean my hair. It has a large surface area; so, may be that helps? We also have a handheld in the shower, but we hardly ever use it. My hair is fairly thick and long, and I've never had a problem. My sister used to live in a 12th floor condo, and she had a Grohe rainhead too. Something about how the plumbing was set up in the old building, but it meant that the water pressure got worse the higher you were up in the building. So, in her apt., I had issues with the water pressure from the rainhead....See MoreAbout those bathroom scales
Comments (2)Hi Sue, Ok...there was often a .2LB difference, depending on where I placed the scale, so I called them...here is what I found out and posted. Well I talked to a nice guy at the company, and he explained that different surfaces can make it weigh just a tad differently, like if the floor was not as even in one place as in another, or even it there was some dirt onder one foot of it. He said it is just best to put it in a place where it doesn't need to be moved. I also understood him to say that things under the surfaces of the floor, like nails, 'could' cause it to differ a bit. I'll still be moving mine, since it will be parked next to the wall, but I'll just take care to always place it on the same tile each time before calibrating. Anyway, I kept them and am pleased with them and now have them located where I don't have to move them in order to use them. I did a bit of searching on Lifelabs, and yes, it appears they are no longer being manufactured, or available here in the US. I did find some info though on talking Lifelab scales. Do yours talk? Yep...Sounds like you got a good bargain. Comments (18)I wonder if you would weigh less while going down in the elevator? I'd like that but only if my pants fit better too. With the shower door opening into the room, and the controls for the tub towards the middle, the blue square is in no man's land. Even I could probably avoid tripping over it. You have a point. I guess I'm just going to have to try different spots for it....See MorePlease recommend tile and a few other things for this bathroom
Comments (6)Brass, particularly in a satin, raw/natural or aged finish is back in a big way. (I'm using Delta's champagne bronze finish [looks like satin brass] in my bathroom.) But if brass in not your thing, chrome is a classic and probably the best option for a kids bath. It's also less expensive, more widely available and easy to match between brands. Your photos don't include the lighting, but it's considered acceptable, even preferable, to mix metals, if you don't want to replace them with chrome. Would you consider having your contractor add a recessed mirrored medicine cabinet over the sink instead of just a mirror? It's more of an investment than an off the shelf mirror, but the storage is priceless....See MoreRelated Professionals
