Not sure how small your powder room is, but you could hang a small cabinet on the wall.

We do have one of those little canisters made just for tp.

A wall shelf? A floor caddy? A tank-hanger caddy?

You don't need to store more than a couple of rolls, do you?

I built curly/birdseye maple and cherry craftsman style wall-hanging cabinets to put over the toilets. Big enough for a few rolls plus other bathroom necessities.

Train rack, shelf, or wall cab over toilet.

Or just be vigilant about changing out rolls when one is more than half gone (put the partially-used rolls in a bathroom with storage).

Friends of mine have a tiny bathroom with a pedestal sink. They put a shelf over the door for TP - which I didn't notice the first 20 or 30 times I used that bathroom! White walls, white shelving, white TP - and I'm short, so it was out of my normal field of vision.

I put mine in a pretty basket on the floor, under the pedestal sink.

When the TP on a bathroom roller gets low, I just put a second roll on the back of the toilet in that bathroom. Do you think a roll and a half of TP would be used up before you could supply more? I don't.

You could use a pretty TP storage box on the tank.

Before I changed out my pedestal to a vanity-type sink we used what was supposed to be a big candle holder in the same "theme" as the rest of the bathroom (beachy) for extra toilet paper rolls and stored all the cleaning supplies right next to the bathroom in a coat closet. Very convenient. I think using something unexpected or not for its intended purpose in cases like this are the best. Makes it seem like you're lucky to get to use something no one else has. I miss my big, ol' candle-holder toilet paper thingy, and I'm pretty sure it misses me, too.

We have a small bathroom and I wanted to be very thoughtful with every square inch. I don't like stuff stored on bathroom floors. This Delta toilet paper holder has a recess to store a spare roll. It is working very well for us. It's actually a commercial holder, so more function than fashion. It's about $20.

Most of our bathroom have "cans" that match the finish that hold three rolls (brushed metal in the ones that have those fixtures, antique bronze in the others).

My town house has a rater decorative toilet brush holder and we never got around to buying one of those can things that match so we just throw a few rolls over the toilet brush handle.

We have a mirrored recessed medicine chest over the pedestal sink. I can easily fit two rolls of TP on one of the shelves and still have room for other incidentals. I do have to slightly compress the TP so the door will close, but they plump right back up when taken out and hung up on the TP holder. (PS---The mirror is beveled with an arched top, so it looks nice in the powder room.)

At the risk of TMI...

Ever notice how, especially when visiting others, you never notice the lack of toilet paper until you're indisposed? I like to have the spare roll protected but visible and within reach from the seated position. The shelf over the door or medicine cabinet are clever, but a bit disconcerting to the person caught--ahem--in the act.

I generally put an extra roll of TP on the shelf when the TP roll seems to be near the end.

I have one of those wreath holders on the door with a woven Peruvian textile bag hanging on it. Holds 4 rolls.

These are all great ideas. I actually ended up going with (small) vanities, but probably could have saved a bit.
