aloe drooping even MORE after increasing light :( (update)

This was my original post about this: http://forums.gardenweb.com/discussions/3390529/aloe-leaves-drooping-and-creasing

Basically I have an aloe plant that is drooping pathetically. Everyone said that it probably needs more light. I haven't had time to go out and get a proper light designed for plants, but I had an LED desk lamp so I put it near the plant for now. It's a fairly strong light. Over a few days I gradually increased the amount of light from 4hrs/day to 8hrs/day. Now I basically leave the lamp on all day when I am out of the house. It is directed near the center of the aloe plant since that's where the growth happens.

Well it's been a few days and...now the one leaf that actually was standing upright, is beginning to droop like the others! How can this be happening? More light was supposed to solve the problem, not make it worse.

I'm just at a loss for what to do about this plant. I feel like it is dying or at least unhealthy. Most of the leaves have creases from being bent over under their own weight/length. There's one leaf that seems completely dead, it is completely limp and it doesn't seem to have anything inside it at all, like it is drying up. I had to cut one of the leaves off the other day because it basically split open where it was creased and I thought it might get infected and rot (it does appear to have healed over where I cut it). I feel like this will eventually happen to all the leaves.

How can I save this plant? I can't believe I'm killing an aloe vera of all things.
