Improving worm production with calcium carbonate

I'm sure this topic has been discussed over and over again but I'm just curious how many of you have used lime with your worms. I've been spreading calcium carbonate throughout my worm beds every couple of weeks. My worm bedding is horse manure, goat manure, squash, pumpkins, and chopped up leaves. I usually mix the lime in when I'm aerating the soil. Some say it increases worm production but I see no difference in using it. I know it sweetens the soil and changes the ph however my worms don't seem to mind acidic soil.
