C & S Outside all Year in Zone 5

I've been thinking about planting some different cacti and succulents outside and leaving them outside all year. Close to home the only cacti are some Opuntia species. That might be because of sporadic cold and wet weather during the Winter that only Opuntia survive.

Here's a list of the plants I plan to try:
Echinocereus viridiflorus
E. viridiflorus v. montanus
E. triglochidiatus
Escobaria missouriensis
E. leei
E. orcuttii v. koenigii
Pediocactus simpsonii v. minor
Agave parryii
Delosperma karooicum Duberg
Ebracteola wilmaniae
Othona capensis
Physaria newberryi
Stomatium mustellinum
Talinum spinescens

Keeping those plants dry during the cold weather will be important. I put a gritty mix in a bed next to the house foundation on the South side. I hope I won't need to cover the bed to keep the mix dry enough. If there is any moisture then I hope the gritty mix will dry out fast enough. I plan to plant some non-succulents, too. I know the Agave is for zone 6 but it has a lot of pups. I can try something with the pups. Anyone try those plants in zone 5?
