My first Phal Spike!

E W

I just had to share because I was so excited. I live in north Texas and it's still 90 degrees here. But last week one of my phals decided to spike and branch off of an existing spike. I kept the old spike because I have a hard time getting them to spike here with the low light, temperature, overwatering or whatever my major problem is. But last week I got my first spike ever! I just can't figure out what I did differently with that one. It has the largest leaves and best root system though, so maybe it's genetics.
