URGENT!!Need help with Kitchen Appliance selections!
Comments (5)Our kitchen has been finished about a month. We bought all KA appliances. We have the french-door 36 inch. I love the freezer on the bottom. I have the counter-depth, which is not as deep as the regular but it is very nice. I did not choose the ice and water on the outside because it gives more room inside without it, also, because I have hardwood floors and I did not want anymore water on the floor than necessary. It has a water dispenser on the inside which is very nice. I really do not miss it on the outside as I would rather have the space inside the frig. I really like the range, but the grates are very heavy and I feel like I am always cleaning it.I cooks very good. I love my dishwasher, it is very quite and the dishes come out sparkling. The micro-wave is above the range, it is good also. I hope these appliances continue to give me good service and appearance....See Morestainless vs. wood panel refrigerator
Comments (16)We have had a SS Liebherr fridge for 5 years and I hated all the fingerprints and smudges for all those years. We will still use it in the breakfast room but I paneled the new Sub-Zero for this remodel. I feel it was one of the best decisions, especially having a small child around. If you decide to panel, you can always get an extra piece of the wood (that you are using for the panels), large enough to fit the cabinet opening width-wise but taller than current fridge. (I have noticed that fridges tend to get a little taller. When our old fridge broke, there wasn't any other fridge on the market to fit the opening, they were all at least 1.5" taller.) This way, you'll have the material for new panels if you have to replace the fridge before the next remodel. I know it is an extra expense but may be well worth it. Also, there is a *rumor* of SS becoming "outdated". I know that many KDs said time and again that is is not going to happen as nobody has been able to come up with a good alternative. But, having been in love with SS for 10 years, I am now really tired of it and don't want to see any large chunks of it in the room. Just my 2 cents... Good luck with whatever you decide....See MoreRefrigerator rant: "you can have any color, as long as it's stainless"
Comments (29)I did that on the wall between my kitchen and utility room to push the fridge out of the path rom the side entrance into my house, but we were changing cabinets, so it was part of a bigger project. I'm not sre if it would work for just a section, and I'm sure it wouldn't be the easiest option. Which led me to search to see what kind of refrigerator wraps you might find out there. There are places that do custom wraps, but there are also some stock choices out there. Wayfair shows some under the category wall decals. Some are displayed on a fridge, but it looks like you could take any of the vinyl panels and ct them to fit the door of the fridge -- average cost $50. Look at Etsy too (they even have one that looks like the empty fridge interior -- but lots of photos and graphics from blossoms to a stairwell, tunnel or hall or even a box of chocolates -- have some fun). Search for wrap, skins, decal, even saw some under wall mural in door, fridge/refrigerator or wall sizes. You might find a stock option that would either cover stainless doors or make them more appealing to you. If you have a favorite family or vacation photo, you could even have a custom one made. I see a lot of options for $50 give or take a little. Get a scratched door marked down and cover it and you can save more than the cost of the decal/wrap. If you haven't looked, it might be worth a little searching or ideas....See MoreWhite or Stainless Refrigerator in this White Kitchen?
Comments (9)Someone recently posted about their new white fridge and they were quite unhappy with the cool white fridge that clashed with their warmer white cabinets. I would take off a cabinet door and take it to the appliance showroom to make sure that the whites of the cabinets and fridge will look good together. If you put a cool toned white fridge in that kitchen, it will be like playing the game of "one of these is not like the others"! I also think your fridge, if white, needs to relate to the ovens, so I would certainly not choose the matte one. The matte one will scream "new 2020 trendy item" added to older appliances....See Moreanitamo
