The suggestions above are great, and I agree with Bumblebeez that you should work to NOT come across as an amateur. To that end, I suggest you change the beginning of your wording. The part where you say "I love texture". First, don't start with an "I", and when you say you love texture, all I can picture (I'm trying to be gentle!) is a very enthusiastic young person (as in I love my bunny, I love marshmallows, etc.). What Cyn427 suggested is really good: "I find my inspiration in the natural world and in experimentation with color and texture." (OK, you can begin with an "I". :) Also, you wanted to know if you should just put one statement for all of the card backs, YES, do only one brief statement. People don't buy or appreciate art for what it means to YOU, they buy it/appreciate it for what it means to THEM. Good luck with your showing! It must be nerve-wracking but very very exciting!

I am a full time professional artist. My prices for my drawings are set. I don't change them depending on who calls me. However, if you are a repeat customer, I will give a 10% discount. Yes even my print prices are set in stone. Now having said that, I was doing a show and had a customer who really loved one of my drawings of peonies. (It's on the cover of The Artist's Magazine December issue, btw) However the price was a bit more ($2400 more to be exact, lol) than she was willing to spend. She told me she could only spend x $$. I showed her what size original art she could get for her price and she asked if I could do something in the smaller size. I explained that I absolutely could, but that it wouldn't be a whole bouquet like the drawing she was looking at but a single bud on a bowl. When I got home, I emailed her my idea for something in her price range and she agreed. It was delivered to her last month and she was thrilled. :) So like my customer, it's possible the artist was trying to help you in that if you could only spend say $300, he would be able to make a print that was 10 x 14 vs a larger one.

@User Things are looking better and better! I like the trees. Gallery walls are great because they can evolve over time. Here are the steps I have swirling around in my head when I am hanging art. Maybe it will help you or maybe not. Take this with a grain of salt as I am no expert on gallery walls or anything else for that matter. I came up with it off the cuff but it works for me. Start with the largest pieces first. I like to create vertical columns of art going up the wall with the largest pieces at the bottom. Here is the start of four columns. Next center art vertically on each column, with the bigger pieces on the bottom. Try to have the same amount of space between each piece. As you obtain more pieces, create more verticals but keep the bigger pieces on bottom. Do you see below I went from 4 columns to 6 columns? Last, add one or two smaller pieces outside of the typical areas. You are done once every inch of space is covered with stuff from floor to ceiling ;-)
