Where to find a kitchen rug runner?

I really like the look of a runner in the kitchen like in the following photo. I am having a hard time find one that is the right size and machine washable. I am looking ideally for one that is 2ft by 6ft but it seems like most runners are 7ft long and that is too long. Any suggestions on where to look?

You would not believe it but I would try Target. They are made for the kitchen, so they are back to prevent sliding and have some designs that might go well with your cabinets

Ballard Design has some unique rugs. Often times a wool rug will be wonderful in a kitchen as it resists staining due to the wool having an oil coating on it from the sheep. Try Tuesday Morning possibly or Home Goods. A remnanat outlet can cut and bind an exact length for you in your choice of their remnanats. There are also I think they are called GelMats.com for comfort on the floor. I have indoor outdoor runners I bought at Home Depot, very utilitarian in navy blue. I scrub them outside twice a year with soap scrubber brush and the hose.

I buy mine at Home Depot or Home Sense.. Cheap enough that when I'm bored with them I can buy new ones and they are bigger than 2X3.

Transparent rug? Is that like those clear plastic protectors that go under office desk chairs? I'm off to paint some flower on mine and will send in my patent in on Monday! 😄 Jinx, I have a rug from Claremont! We spent a few hours at both their showrooms, in the San Francisco area, a few years ago. The photos don't do the rugs justice and the owner and employees were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Thank you @everdebz! I’m new to the site so haven’t added any idea boards yet. I am actually going for a brighter look. Mix of contemporary/French/farmhouse. We will be renovating that living room you see from the foyer and it will have hardwood floors. We are not renovating the foyer but would like to tie in these styles. If you roll up the winter one where will you put it ? I think if you find a nice summery looking one the same size just layer them . If you really want help post a pic here and also the size you need. I have the vinyl rugs that are really inexpensive they roll up to very small when not needed I use one inside for the doggie door with a towel under it to catch the water when muddy feet come in form the dog run. The rug washes off with soap and water when it is dirty . They come in fun colors that owuld be great outside for the summer. I have a really big one in my outdoor seating area .

6ft runners are very hard to find - in my search, I found that 8ft is the most common length offered. I eventually found a 2ft by 6ft runner at Home Decorators Collection online. You can also try Overstock and Wayfair - both have large selections.
