Top 5 (or 10 or..) on your wish list for 08
Comments (43)Well, I try to avoid reading those wish lists, since they tend to make my own wish list longer. As I try to restrict myself to solid colored hostas, and some streakers for breeding purposes, this is what I have ordered so far: Arctic Blast Barbara May Cherry Tart Chishima Iwa Clovelly Empress Wu Fluted Fountain Fujibotan Glorious Hacksaw Hyuga Urajiro Marrakech Neptune Maya Swingtime Montana ÂGinrei Purple Boots Purple Haze Red Dragon Ruffed Up Sahara Nights The RazorÂs Edge Totally Twisted I'm also always looking for species or any plant collected in the wild I don't have yet. Love from the Hosta Mill, Rob...See MoreWhat's On Your 2013 Wishlist?
Comments (58)#1 on my list is Kapalua Also want to replace some of the ones that I lost: Gold Coast Peachy Essie's Fantasy Mary Moragne Compacta Beach Chocko Delight Gardenia Gladys K Brandt Kaneohe Sunburst I'm not even going to try Black Purple or Orange Splendor again, seems not many people can keep them alive. I would rather spend my money on hardier varieties. I have a list of several from JJ's that I want. I've never lost a JJ plant. I get the larger sizes and they are loaded with roots and are more like small trees if you get the larger sizes. This year, I'm getting less, but larger sizes. Now that we have to move them inside in the winter, I would rather have larger, hardier than a bunch of struggling babies. Comments (13)Would love to get Red Star of Krypton but too expensive and sold out. I don't know if the hybridizer photoshops his pic but wow, it has the clearest and brightest coloring of green and red for a daylily. Would also love to get the "I Love Purple" collection of Floyd Cove Daylilies but not happening (unless Santa somehow drops 800 bucks into my bank account) :) This collection has 6 of the most recent intros of purple daylilies, the prettiest and largest purple daylilies that I have ever seen....See MoreYour experiences with roses from my Wishlist please.
Comments (44)@pink rose(9b, FL ) thank you for listing the varieties that work for you! I love Easy Does It! It has been on my wishlist for years. I need to order at least three to start! @Kristine LeGault 8a pnw my husband's family is from Hattiesburg. By chance is your mom's side a Lampton or a Conerly? They have a long lineage in the Burg. And Natchez is so gorgeous and romantic! With delicious tamales! @User Thanks for the Zephy warning! Do you by chance have an alternate recommendation that might work in my area? @erasmus_gw your Shelia's Perfume is beautiful and hypnotizing! Where do you garden? If she blackspots for you, I'm wondering if she will be a mess for me. Your Zephy is glorious! @rosecanadian thanks for the encouragement! I will need to try both for sure! And thank you for the complements! To be honest I was very impatient with Sally her first year, but her second year she blew me away. I'm so grateful I didn't make any rash desicions after that first year and shovel her! EEK! PS I just ordered a Perfume Breeze from RU based on your pics and rec. I hope it works in my zone. I feel like we have similar taste in fragrance so I'm pumped!...See Morenomen_nudum
