Pedicure Seating and Sink

If you love getting pampered at the spa, or just want a nice place to relax at the end of a hard day at work, then having your own pedicure sink installed with bench seating is a wonderfully unique speciality feature you may want to include in your bathroom. Of course, your bathroom needs to be large enough to accommodate it alongside all the necessities, and you’ll spend a bit more in plumbing work to get it all set up, but it will provide a better experience than the traditional foot spa in a box you can buy at your local mass retailer.

Barn Door

Since the barn style door slides, you save space in your bathroom. A traditional door needs about 14 feet of space to swing open, so this is a particularly helpful and unique feature when square footage is an issue. Since they can be styled and colored in a number of ways, they can fit in with any decor.

Frameless Glass Shower

This not only works to fit seamlessly into any decor, it eliminates the need for a shower curtain, or to step into the tub/shower. This is an excellent option for anyone interested in aging in place and universal design.

Chromotherapy

Chromotherapy uses colored lights to affect the mood. Many spas use this approach along with aromatherapy to promote calming and relaxing emotions. Many manufacturers are developing chromotherapy fixtures to use in the shower so you can get the benefits at home. According to WebMD, chromotherapy can be useful in the treatment of depression, fatigue, anxiety, migraines, and more.

Heated Towel Rack

A heated towel rack may seem like a fancy luxury feature, but the truth is, they can be found for less than $100. There are models that cost significantly more, of course, but they all run on the same basic principle. These racks will keep your towels warm, so when you step out of the bath or shower you can wrap yourself up in a warm towel. Combine this with a radiant heated floor, and you never have to worry about freezing in the bathroom in a cold winter.
