Cambria Silestone
Comments (2)Cambria and Silestone are different brands of quartz which are manmade from natural quartz and resin. I think they are a wonderful product and have a lot of advantages over granite. There are many different manufacturers of quartz, LG, Dupont, Casearstone, Cambria, Silestone. My favorite is Cambria, I have put it in two of my kitchens. So I think you are making a great choice!...See MoreWhite cabinets for Cambria Britannica?
Comments (12)Hi @maggieterry! No regrets at all on the BM Simply White + Cambria Britannica, and I would do it again. The color seemed to match well, and I actually think your lighting choice (warm or cool) in the kitchen will have a bigger impact if you are sticking with the more neutral whites (even if they have slight tints). Having Britannica as a backsplash looks stunning (and works great too when cleaning up oil splatter), but I highly recommend you work with your fabricator to make it as seamless as possible (using as few transitions as possible). Cambria Britannica has some pretty bold veining, and so it can be very obvious where the transition points are if done without care. By the way, one thing that I discovered about Cambria (if you are still choosing between manufactuers), is that their countertops are one of the few that are rated for commercial use spaces, and they also have a really great lifetime warranty on chips (which they do not widely advertise). We bumped a heavy pot against the edge of the sink and it chipped, but when I called Cambria, they sent a repair person over that week to patch it without any questions asked or any extra cost to me. That gives me great peace of mind knowing that they will do that....See MoreDevastated over Cambria USA Counter Top Brittanica
Comments (39)It looks very fresh and new. You can absolutely tie them together well and it will look fabulous. I know how hard it is to have a vision in your head, and then how sad it is when what you end up with doesn't match the picture in your head. But I'd recommend trying to regain some perspective. No one has died, it's done well, and it's going to be beautiful. There is no way in heck I'd pay money to rip that out and start over. However everyone is different with money and I'm sort-of cheap. I save forever for major projects like this and I've learned one has to be willing to roll with the punches on a major reno. Stuff always takes longer, costs more, and looks a little different than what I saw in my head.......See MoreQuartz countertops-Cambria
