Pat....hi there :) The few times I have used Tide liquid (he) things all came out clean and fresh and did smell very good.

If you have an Aldi nearby, try the Tandil Premium liquid detergent. Safe for he and topload. MamaP mailed me some, and it is better than Tide, and less $ too. I almost always do and will use powders, but Tandil and Tide liquids are pretty darn great!!

I have some good news for you. If you have a Target, they sell Tide Ultra Stain release in a free/clear variety. You can only get it at target, though. I hope that works for you! :)

Yep Blues I seen that a few weeks ago, and up till than it wasn't even listed on P&G's page, so I'm assuming its in test mode right now, so p&g can see how many sales they get from target before it goes store wide, this is just a guess on my part though. I will have to check p&g site again to see if its even mentioned yet.

Well I'm bringing this thread back to life.

Just an observation, I used Tide Ultra Stain Release for the first time today and it was really low sudsing. I did a huge load (up to half of the window fully wet) today (colors) and used between Max & Min on the Electrolux detergent dispenser (not sure of exactly dosing). I also added 1/4 cup borax and 2 TBSP STTP.

There were virtually no suds on the window just some in the tub.

Did I use too little or has Tide gotten better with suds control?

George..I have that, bought it expecially for the scrubber lid lol. I haven't used it in awhile and can't remember the suds.

I'm glad to hear you had good results as far as sudsing goes with it.

WOW....even the new "he turbo" Tide liquids are Suds-o-Rama for me...Electrolux or Miele!! Maybe you used too little for that big of a load. 1/2 up the window, wet, in your Electrolux is A LOT of clothes!!!

Yes, it was two weeks worth of my parents laundry. I tend now to lean towards less detergent because I just finished using Persil which is very sudsy. I've mentioned before how I'm loving the suds control on Cheer liquid. Maybe they're similar.

Larsi, how many TBSP's are you using in the Miele, for every day loads or huge loads?

Remember not to err to far into low dosages...your machines need a balanced amount of detergent to keep itself clean.

Geez, dosing is so crazy with front loaders and load size and detergent brands.

I find liquid detergents worse for sudsing than powders. Honestly, we do not have all these Tide options for HE in Canada ... booo.

Liquids do suds up more than powders IMO. I often mix liquids with powders, 1/2 dose of each. If your careful with scents often this works wonderfully.

I have been using it for several weeks and have no sudsing issues with it. With WM Persil I had major sudsing issues. I have a Bosch nexxt machine.

Ya'll made me buy this lol. I have not tried a new detergent for a few years now. I used to have a real problem buying everything to try it.

I'm not usually a fan of Tide but lately I've used the reg HE powder with success and now this is nice. Neither one caused sudsing or scent issues for me. I'm usually sensitive to too much scent. I find this one light.

Sure is more cost effective than my usual Miele detergents.

I would really like to try the Tide with bleach powder but we Canadians get ONE HE option in powder.
