how much Tide he liquid do you use in a frontloader?
Comments (8)I use Tide HE with a Whirlpool Duet & find that a small amount is plenty. I am probably using 1/3 or less of what I used with my top loader (of course, that wasn't your question), but after 9 months use the following standard: -- if full load I go to 3rd line on cap -- If half to 3/4 I go to 2 or 2.5 lines -- if small load 1 line -- if "handwashing" load -- lingerie -- I use 1/2 of 1st line or less -- if clothes are very dirty I go up 1/2 line, new clothes or light dirt I go down 1/2 line This definitely was an adjustment for me with the FL. I know I have the right amount when there are just a few bubbles on the window of the door. My clothes are so clean & fresh & many times I don't pre-treat. good luck!...See MoreCheer he Liquid...SO many suds :(
Comments (19)Cavimum: "AND re: the froth/bubbles --- really, please explain as I would truly appreciate it. This FL uses so little water in the wash cycle that I never see a sudsy froth during the wash --- only the rinses." We have never owned a Miele washing machine, so I cannot address brand-specific quirks, if that is what is causing the rinse frothing. But our area has very soft water, so if rinse frothing is an issue anywhere, one would expect it to be a bigger issue here -- and it is not even a small issue here. FWIW, we use Biokleen All-Temperature liquid in our current Samsung WF419 front-loading machine. We use roughly half Biokleen's recommended dosage, but we add a scoop (about 1/3 cup) of 20 Mule Team borax to the mix as well. Among its other benefits, borax is known to act as a rinse aid. In the interests of science, I guess that I should try running a few loads without the borax and reporting back as to whether rinse frothing appeared, but we are happy with the way our laundry comes out, so are disinclined to make the science experiment. BTW, Biokleen is entirely vegetable based (mainly grapefruit seeds and orange extracts), so there never is any petroleum related odor associated with its use....See MoreTide he Liquid Advanced Clean with Bleach Alternative
Comments (13)@ larsi Seriously! I think Tide is engaging in a little bit of deception. I think all of their formulas are essentially very similar to one another. For instance, only some of their products contained the "Acti-Lift" logo on the cap, yet I read a response from P&G in their own review forum that stated all products contain "Acti-Lift" even though they may not have the logo or term anywhere on the bottle. I think this "Advanced Clean" is basically the same thing - an existing product made to look like it's been reformulated. P&G does this to stimulate sales. Consumers think it's a new and better formulation, so they are more inclined to buy it and try it. I think this is misleading and shady....See MoreTide Total care liquid vs Tide Toral care HE liquid
Comments (21)Yes,I bought a box at Sams but this was first of the year. Had the he and a pic of a front loader on there and said "clean rinse technology" or something like that. I did call Cheer and ask since I never see it at Wal/Mart or other places. Lady told me they did it in the 120 load box for Club stores as a trial. Said that it wasnt being made anymore, BUT that it could come back later again for the club stores. I saw a while back at Sams they had it in the new dark box and it was also he (120 ld) and was cut to $9.99. I still believe the regular Cheer Powder is the same as the HE cause it doesnt suds much either. I wish it still smelled like it used to several years ago....See MorePat Z5or6 SEMich
