In case anyone has this problem in the future, after several videos, including manufacturer videos, which all pretty much skipped through the part of inserting the hinges into the oven, and several articles, I finally found 2: https://www.justanswer.com/appliance/4g13q-re-attach-whirlpool-oven-door-removing-wasn-t.html https://www.bobvila.com/posts/29301-can-t-put-oven-door-back-on?page=1 What happens is that when you open the door, the hinges are in the extended position, but when you have it partially closed to lift off, the hinges snap back into the closed position. Note that these hinges can take your fingers off! What we did was pull the hinges into a partly extended position, not sure if it was 120-degree as above, and then slipped a 1 x 2 wood block between each hinge and the door to hold them open and save your fingers. So there is an almost-1-inch space between the hinge and the door (and the wood block is soft and not damaging anything). At that point you should be able to hold the door at approximately 45 degrees and slide it in like magic, the way they do in the videos without any helpful comment. If that angle doesn't work, start at 90-degrees (open position) and tilt up until the hinges slide in. The real issue is the way you take it off. They assume that the hinges will be locked open when you remove the door; this is why they are singularly unhelpful about putting the door back. Our oven is a Whirlpool model with the double-hook hinge, fyi.

I would do either the flanking chairs or two chairs facing a couch across the fireplace -- depends on ease of access to the bar area, how likely you are to use the fireplace, etc. An area rug will be helpful in defining the furniture grouping as well as in warming up the tile, and then a coffee table and maybe one or more small tables to serve the chairs (with at least one reading lamp). You might want a cabinet back in that nook if not having a TV -- could just be decorative, or random storage, since you already have a bar... Art over the fireplace -- something horizontal and sleek to match the feel of the place. Looks like a neat space!
