Sydney Waratah lignotuber placement

I planted a waratah tubestock with the lignotuber sticking out of the soil about 2 cms. I am wondering if its too high, I've read conflicting info online about whether the lignotuber should be above or below the soil surface. Any advice from native gardeners here? You can see the little bumps in the photo, near the soil line, just up from the base of the plant.

Thanks!

Looks ok to me, lignotubers are usually above the soil, though certainly at the base of the trunk. It all looks healthy, if growth is progressing, I'd leave it alone.
