18'/30' freezer/fridge column width or 24'/24'?
Comments (14)2 24s will look allot better because it will be symmetrical. I would get a 48 inch if i was doing 30 inch fridge. I just feel that an 18 inch freezer is still small. Its obviously allot bigger then a standard 36 inch side by side but u can barely get anything wide in there plus you lose space to the ice maker. If you can get 2 27 inch sub zeros you hit a home run. Nothing compares to Sub. Quality, Design & Style. On the AJ Madison website you can see all the brand & which ones make different configurations to get to 48 inches. I live by that site. They have the best website. Comments (9)Sincere thanks to everyone who posted threads and pics to help the spatially challenged! Sombreuil and Cawfeegirl, your kitchens are beautiful! The wall into which our fridge would have to be recessed is on the exterior of the house, and we live in a pretty cold climate, so the whole concept may be a non-starter. We may have to make the style of handle a bigger issue than something like that should ever be, just trying not to protrude any further than necessary. Either that, or it's back to the drawing board to reconfigure the design yet again!...See MoreShould fridge cabinet be as deep as fridge?
Comments (24)I definitely wanted a full-sized frig, not counter-depth, so I had my cabinets bumped out about 6 inches so the frig front would line up flushed with the cabinets. It looks as close to built-in as it can be without being counter-depth. Absolutely love it!! I have my broom/utility closet on the left split in half length wise. One side for for vacuum, step ladder and broom, etc. and the other half with small shelves for cleaning products, toolbox, etc. I also had my contractor install an electrical outlet in the closet for charging small appliances if needed. Here's a couple of shots...sorry, the second one barely shows the side of my frig but I wanted to show depth. href="http://s254.photobucket.com/albums/hh117/coolmom1/?action=view&current=sideIMG_1309_61.jpg" target="_blank">...See More15' deep kitchen wall cabinets with 24' deep countertops? Help!
Comments (23)I know this is an old thread, but if anyone sees this and has faced my issue, I sure could use some ideas. We currently have 14" deep uppers from the 1930"s, which we love, and are currently in a long overdue remodel, which could involve up to 15" deep uppers. Our problem is the corner wall cabinet. Neither angle, at 24" sides, or eazy reach style, can come with 15" sides. While a 27" angle comes with 15" sides, I don't have 27" of wall space. I have considered an online RTA who will make a frameless easy reach in any size, have a face frame/door made by my cabinet supplier, but with 15" sides, I would have a door opening of approximately 12" I believe. Does this sound feasible?...See Moreainelane
