Do many others eat Poke? Does anyone eat it without boiling it?

I eat poke omelettes (a handful of small leaves to 3-4 eggs) without boiling the poke first. I eat pokeberries (with the seeds) for arthritis (I am just 46 but have paratrooping injuries).

I read once on Garden web an old man say he ate poke without boiling first (I think it was in eggs too) and he said the whole toxic label was something thought of a long time ago by shop keepers to get people to buy greens from them instead of the wild.

I can't find that thread now but wonder if there are many that still eat poke, and if anyone else fries it without boiling it first
