You're definitely right. I've already decided that the mirror has to go. It's 8 years old. I spent most of the afternoon trying to find a new one. No success. I could repaint the frame (wouldn't deal with the style of it, however), or just put it in another room. I need something with a simpler frame in either gold or wood tone. If the mirrors at Stenella weren't so outrageously expensive, I would've bought one there. They had a couple at Homegoods that were fake bamboo, but they were too small or too over the top. I like the height of the existing mirror for reflecting light and breaking up some of the dark blue walls.

Figure 5' wide minimum for the washer and dryer to sit side by side. Do you need a sink in there? Do you want folding space or hamper space? Any other storage needs in there? If it were me, I would do ~8.5x6. Place the W/D to your left or right as you come in the room with an L-shaped countertop extending from the W/D end and around the corner. I would put in full counter height double hampers in the short run (2 or 3) and maybe a sink next to the W/D. Upper cabinets could be optional. Hope this helps!

Sweet set up! What are the dimensions of the room? That will help people figure out the best rug size for it. Can we get a layout? Have you thought of window treatments? (Wondering about the effect of the sun on your clothes and shoes. And also, you'll be needing privacy.) Budget? That will help with seating suggestions. Can we see the vanity? For a little while, I used a spare bedroom as my dressing room and my favourite part was the three-sided mirror. What a fun room to furnish and decorate!

Right off the bat These are the glaring things that stand out to me 1. everything in the room is hung too high. 2. What purpose does the end table serve ? its sitting all alone 3. a loveseat alone is too small for the space 4. fireplace/mantel is way to high to have a TV placed over it 5. lamp is too small for space Questions 1. is this the room your front door opens into and if so where is the front door in relation to everything we are seeing 2. why is there and area rug under the plant? Possible Solutions 1. place the TV on the console 2. place a sofa in front of the windows facing the TV 3. remove area rug under plant 4. if there is a matching sofa to this love seat keeping the love seat where it is and snugging it up to the sofa so arms meet but don't overlap will work, then place a round table at there with a nice lamp 5. Once furniture is in place move plant to left of fireplace in corner 6. place one large piece of art over fireplace. NOTHING art wise on walls at either side however a floor mirror on each side could work if you feel it looks empty, These would need to be large and tall 7. remove the vase with the dried arrangement in it completely 8. turn rug so it accommodates sofa and loveseat layout Another option would be to get two smaller scaled chairs to sit where loveseat is with the sofa arrangement mentioned and move love seat out of the space.
