Hello! So I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. My organically grown habanero, jalapeƱos are in 16litre containers. I want fully ripe chiles. Problem is, soon the frost will hit. My hab bush is rather large, 100s of flowers. No way it could sustain all that fruit before frost. So I topped the plant, picked off all the flowers and kept the 20 or so developing pods, thinking that the energy focus will go to growing/ripening. Same as my jalapeƱos, just kept what had a chance. Question is- do you guys think I did the right thing? I can't find info on such a thing anywhere. Thanks. I cut off all the top smaller leaves and kept the larger ones, where the first and larger pods are.
