Isopogon animonifolius 'worrikee'.

Might have shown this before back before this 'Houzz' mob took over the site. However, it's just now coming into flower and looking very nice.

    I wish we had these beauties, instead of our nasty dandylion weeds.

    I got them too, Inga; yesterday I went though nearly 20 litre of Glysophcate (might have mis-spelt it, weedkiller) killing off and acre and a half of weeds, including dandylion.

    We are no longer allowed to use the weed killer, that eradicates them. So we get more and more of them.

    I remember seeing Isopogons growing down south, they look very attractive. We don't get a lot of Proteaceae up here, they're more common in less humid areas, particularly like Western Australia and South Africa. Apart from some of the Grevilleas, a lot of the tropical ones are large trees.
