Can a mechanic or Ford dealer disconnect the anti-theft (panic alarm). Mine goes off all the time for no reason. Had a blog going about this, but didn't get answer to question about just disconnecting it. So many false alarms is like the boy who cried wolf. Would rather do without the anti-theft feature than be awakened in the middle of the night or dash several times a day to turn off the alarm.
Someone said they thought it couldn't be disconnected due to it being a safety feature, but I think they were referring to the 'ding' signaling a car door is ajar or trunk hatch is not shut tight. I'm talking about the blaring horn honking signaling a break-in except the only thing moving is the breeze. Anybody?
