Thanks Susan I'm in Milford Pennsylvania in gold key lake estates, basically a forest by 3 lakes and swamps lol I have its container open so it can emerge and adequately spread/dry it's wings in a contained and controlled room. I did the same for my polyphemus moth and it worked out very well and she mated almost immediately after I brought her outside, with gloves, careful not to damage her wings. Also have the option of opening the window screen if it's difficult to catch it etc. Thanks again:)

I'd be concerned to0 because that was a big investment. Though I don't know what insect it is, it would take a many seasons of more serious afflictions to kill those big plants. They are far more likely to be killed by your overwatering than by loss of a little chlorophyll. . While waiting I think you can take some comfort that your plants leafing out well and the knowledge that one week or one season of pests will not kill them. They put out good leaves and those small holes, at this point, are a cosmetic problem. Please google the product they want to use to see for yourself how toxic it might be to bees and groundwater. The landscaper's interest, understandably, is to keep you happy perhaps at a cost to the environment and protect their own investment of time and money. One might say it is their responsibility to know their products and use them correctly; as the homeowner you share the reponsibility for being informed. You need to understand what they will spray in your yard and how it might affect your small ecosystem. If they decide to use a chemical be sure they apply it at the correct time of day when insects are inactive. By the way, I'm not against "chemicals' per se, just ignorant, careless, incorrect and indiscriminate use of them. If they just assure you its "safe" and "we use it all the time" contact your county extension service to check it out yourself. You are to be congratulated on being an observant gardener. HOwever, no matter how much money you spent on your plants they are still just plants and no guarantee will ensure they won't sometimes get nibbled by bugs, eaten by rabbits, browsed by deer or get spotted or buckshot from an insect that likes their taste. As a gardener of 40 years with many a nibbled and spotted plant I assure you there's no need to go in loaded for bear; waiting a little longer to get answers will do no harm to your beautiful shrubs. Yes, in the first month, we actually watered a lot more. At planting, they were soaked as well. The trees appeared to be doing very well until the drip system was installed. They were generating a lot of new growth very quickly over the past 2 months and just in the past week, they started getting the brown edges on their leaves.
