I love the clear round pendants with Edison bulb but we did this style (in brushed nickel) but this color would compliment that fabulous chandelier. It is The Grant from Quoizel.

I think you picked a good pendant. That little peak of brass will be a fun and unexpected surprise.

I bought and returned the pendant you have shown. First of all, if I remember correctly, it's quite wide. I can't imagine 3 would fit. Also, for me, I found the interior to be cheap looking in person. The gold interior will be very obvious when hung at an island.

This is somewhat similar from rejuvenation. It comes with a choice of colors and finishes.

My four sons, that triplesevenhome site is fabulous. It makes me wish I needed more light fixtures! But unfortunately I've picked out everything but the pendants now and I don't see any pendants on there that would work for us. This is our other option right now. It's not amazing but it goes with everything.

Crl, I love those rejuvenation lights and had originally picked out something similar but feared they may stray too far into vintage industrial than sleek and modern industrial so I changed my plan.

beth09 I thought the same thing. Those glass shades look high maintenance and sometimes lighting like that without any diffuser casts horrible shadows. Just some things to consider namarie.

I'm pretty sure your dining area light is the one that nosoccermom has suggested several times and said she hoped to see someone use it someday. She is usually in Home Decor and might have some pendant ideas.

Totally agree about the glass shade maintenance.

I struggled with lighting (all decisions truthfully!) in the kitchen because I tend to return a lot of purchases after trying on with different outfits, etc. You really can't do that with most kitchen finishes or installed lighting. I am happy with our new kitchen but in hindsight would have chosen some things differently. Does everyone have that feeling after such a big expense and years of commitment? For example my first instinct was a similar glass pendant with exposed bulb namarie posted above but the lighting store talked me out of it. I still think about it! My husband thinks I am crazy as I discuss nightly what we could've done differently because we really do love our new kitchen.

Thank you all for your suggestions! They have been great and got me thinking in some other directions. What do you guys think about this (a more linear light like Oaktown suggested)? My DH can be very picky and he likes this one too.

Hi namarie, if you are considering this fixture please check it out in real life if you can. You might want to see if you would be able to later swap out the bulbs for 60W equivalent LED filaments so that it will be sufficiently bright to work at your island -- shouldn't be too bad since there are only 6. The look of LED filaments seems to be improving quickly. Good luck!
