Nothing is wrong. She is perfect, but has a place in the sun. She colors back to green in automn.

Thanks Harry. Indeed, nothing is wrong, amcknight4. I was simply commenting on the color, which is tending to brown from the usual purple-blue tones. It is getting lots of sunshine. Producing the recent inflorescence uses up limited metabolic resources. The number of dessicated leaves around the base tells me that this particular plant is doing what it needs to do to stay alive in the middle of summer with limited shade and water. It is recycling leaves. The increased rate of leaf senescence is accompanied by the familar colors of Fall.

Growing plants hard means to grow more like habitat plants compared to pampered greenhouse specimens. It was a compliment, not a criticism, complaint, or call to arms.
