If you don't need a fan maybe you can replace it with a lovely flush mount light. if you do need a fan , which I kinda recall you saying you did because it gets warm in there? Then I recommend the Minka Concept fan. Marylee H - I’m writing this a while after the last thread, so I’m hoping you will see it. I’m painting my kitchen cabinets and was considering Greek Villa and Alabaster. My walls are Killum Beige and the floor is a light marble with hints of beige. The countertops and backsplash are a black marble with small flecks of beige/ gold. I’m just learning about Cloud White and wondering if would is a good choice. I don’t mind a hint of yellow but not too much - I prefer a minimal undertone. If anyone else has used it on cabinets I’d appreciate the input.

When I look at the photo, its the thick molding at the top of the cabinets that catches my eye. You might buy a roll of white paper tape the width of the molding (example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B7ZTM7GS) stick it on the molding, and see how the kitchen would look of the molding were painted or removed. There appear to be uplights attached to the tops of the cabinets whose color temperature is significantly lower (i.e., warmer) than that of the recessed lights. I'd consider replacing those lights with lights of a higher color temperature. You could extend those uplights over the corner cabinets to eliminate the shadows. Does the window need to be covered? Nothing would brighten the kitchen more than daylight through the window...and it's free. Cheap changes first.

Is it better to just try to find another color Always. The search can be done digitally like Marylee H did and you can pull the chips to evaluate. If nothing shows up +/- in terms of lightness and/or intensity, then going the cutting formula route makes sense. Cutting formulas means you have no idea what you're going to get until it's mixed, swatched and dry. At which point you own the custom mix whether you like it or not.
