Eggs in my new pond - what are they?

Dave Collins

Found these things lining the edge of my pond near the surface. Look exactly like (chicken ) egg yolks about 1mm in size. Hundreds of them distributed over several feet in groups of a few. Don't seem to be secured there.

Pond is only a month old, and has only had one resident so far, which I put in a week ago. A fat goldfish-possibly-Koi, about 8" long. (Has a huge belly) Just a couple of days ago I put in three more little 3" Koi.

So far, the pond has no shelter, no plants, no where for them to hide except folds in the liner.

I don't know if these are Koi eggs or goldfish-possibly-Koi, or some other critter like a slug.

Ideas?
