Your pectinata looks very nice! It also looks very much like the Ae pectinate small form that I have - however, mine is not coloured up as nice as yours. Mine got a bit of slow release food some time ago. Are you growing yours hard? This is what my 'normal' pectinata looked like a year before it flowered. The colour it got then was coming and going but always more as solid patches and a realy bright cerise pink. Of course, when it flowered it went totally bezurk. When mature, it was almost one meter in diameter Aech pectinata: And here's my pectinata small form. 40cm in diameter and I think it reached its ultimate size. Aech pectinata small form: Japie

We went to Lowes on Sunday, and the plant selection was terrible. It seemed like they hadn't gotten in a new shipment of anything in awhile. The roses were half-dead and the same old varieties, with 50% of them being "Arctic Blue." I've seen some pictures of it online and liked it, but I found that I didn't care for it in person. They did have a shelf full of clematis starts which I was really happy about. They had varieties like "Nelly Moser," "Blue Boy," and "Duke of something...I don't remember what : ), (it was purplish-red). I ended up choosing a "Prince Phillip" clematis and a star jasmine to climb up the side fence. The smell is heavenly! This weekend we may go to a different Lowes to see if they have anything. I can't wait! Have a nice evening, damask_rose : )

You're welcome Anthony! I have several of the newer hibiscus hybrids from the Hawaiian Punch series, these are fantastic with their long lasting individual blooms of up to five days each. At times I've forgotten them out on the veranda when nights have dropped to 5 C or so and they haven't been shocked by it, they're not really terribly touchy things, otherwise I would have killed them by now!

Wow! I love that shot of Arctic Bear. It looks a lot like my late blooming near white seedling. I like Heavenly Snowflake too! I'm very fond of near whites. Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine has super color and edge! Congrats on that one! Orange Angel is a very pretty orange! Debra
