Dry bean plants yellowing and dying. Seems early

I grew 3 types of dry beans this year as an experiment. In zone 4. Jacobs Cattle, Cannanelli, and Kidney. From the day I started them in cow pots its been about 74 days (yes I know its not always good to start beans indoors but the soil wont be warm enough here to germinate in the ground until late June but thats why I use the cow pots so I plant the whole pot without any root disturbance). The dates on the packets say 85, 95, and 100 days until harvest. The bean plants started turning pale green about 2 weeks ago, then yellow about 5 days ago and are now pretty much all out dying. I figured they dont really die until end of august here or early September. Or is that how dry shelling beans grow? Die when theyre ready? 3 cattle bean pods were completely dried out so I cut them off and shelled the pods. From what I can tell, the beans were ready for harvest with 5 beans in 2 of them and 4 in the other.
