Episcia War Paint??
Comments (1)I haven't grown 'War Paint' but, episcias can change their coloring dramatically depending on culture, maturity, and health of the plant. Your plant is beautiful, and I suspect its coloring and pattern reflects the fact that it is fully mature and in very good health. But, even when plants are this healthy they will have different coloring if grown indoors and under lights. Whatever it turns out to be, its a very good one. Over the years I have grown quite a few different pink colored episcias. Sometimes they start out for me looking quite different, but grown together under lights they can take on a solid pink coloring to the point where I can barely tell them apart. But, the same plants grown on a window sill, will show less pink and less dark patches, taking on more green or silver. Sorry, I can't be more helpful, Jon...See MoreWar Paint
Comments (10)If it came up with a flower scape, it's stressed, in some way-- probably from being potted. That isn't natural. Either way, your pictures are grand! I enjoyed them. I have killed WP 3 times here....once was an os plant. I had to wait for availibility again last year. Will see here shortly if it lived. Crazy stuff. I have a 'Niagra Falls' that would knock yer socks off....so to speak. I get so frustrated when it doesn't make any sense when one doesn't thrive, so I have put quite a few $$ into trying to grow 'War Paint' here. Thanks for the photos! Gives me some hope LOL Rox...See Morehosta war paint-loss of variegation

Comments (8)Here's my "just unfurled" War Paint(May photo in NE). Remember, this hosta will turn green later in the season. Today I was inspecting my hosta and I found a beautiful ruffled green youngster...I thought it was one of my seedlings and was quite impressed with the rippled edges. The plant was a little larger than my average seedling - so I was trying to figure out how long I had left it there. Then the light bulb went off...this was not a seedling ... just my beautiful War Paint now a solid green. It's still worth the Spring Show! War Paint...See Morejosephines167 z5 ON Canada
