War - Still Showing Paint

My War Paint is still showing variegation from its first flush of leaves back in April - although the new growth is totally green as I'd expect.

Also, the leaves are more twisted than I've seen posted online - particularly the tips. Purchased as a single eye in the fall of 2013, no doubt these traits may be attributed to its lack of maturity.

Here are pics from today.

Interestingly, the centers have been white from the beginning - not the vibrant yellow that I've seen online.

However the new growth is all green.

A friend who ordered at the same time as me, got a division that is displaying similar characteristics. It could be that the plant is still young, explaining why it hasn't had the wide dome shaped leaves typical of Niagara Falls.

When I performed a google search, I did see that Paul in mn had a similar looking young plant that surprised him back in 2012.

I wonder how that plant is performing three years later on.

Here's my plant back in mid April

...and at the beginning of May.

I'm not complaining - I'd prefer the dramatic colouring to hang around this long! It's just not what I'd anticipated.

Anyone else seeing similar characteristics in their War Paint?
