Comments (18)This one didn't grab me then as much as it does now. My morning, except for the subway pole, are exactly like hers. Surely age doesn't have a thing to do with it. UGH! RE: Mornings Posted by: MRobbins 6b - Brooklyn (My Page) on Tue, Oct 1, 02 at 11:37 I don't remember my mornings. Each day I awake a Coelacanth and must pass through each stage of evolution, slowly lumbering up on the lakeshore, my cartilege stiffening into bone, legs and arms forming. I put my new feet on the floor and then, somehow, I gradually stand up straighter and straighter until I find myself WHAM a homo sapiens hanging on to a subway pole rumbling along to work....See MoreIs there a better way than bucketing washing machine water?
Comments (8)Ben, In Pennsylvania, We used to pump the washing machine water into pickle barrels. it is suprising how much water is used by a large laundry cycle! I knew someone that pumped it staight into a garden hose and watered from it.....but I still hauled the buckets of water. Not easy... but beneficial to the shrubs and flowers. My washer never missed a beat...and my flowers were appreciative because we were under a watering ban at the time. I live in North Carolina now and the rainfall this spring has been very little. I don't know where to purchase pickle barrels here...but large plastic trash cans should do the job just as well! The laundry soap...no bleach... seemed to keep the bugs down too. In Pennsylvania my washer hose was connected to another hose that pumped the water up and out. It was higher than the existing hose at the back of the washer....but the washer could handle it! Good Luck! Dianne...See MoreO. Fragrance has no fragrance
Comments (16)Crashed - grrrr. Let's try this again. I, too, have several O.Fragrans that don't appear to be fragrant. Mine are over 3' tall now and took rooted to pull up. Besides, I wouldn't want to, just in case that when they start blooming that they are fragrant. Background: When I took my Master Gardener class 2 years ago, I asked about the 4 O. Fragrans that I have. They had started blooming and I was starting to get concerned. I asked about their fragrance. The instructor that day (from the best horicultural college we have here in Texas - Texas A&M), said that there is ONE variety that is NOT fragrant. It made me so mad that I wanted to come home and rip them up. Of course, you know they take a VERY long time to grow. So, I decided to wait and see... I just saw some blooms on one, but couldn't smell a thing. I'm wondering... shouldn't it have been detectable or does it take a profussion of blooms? I'll leave them, but I'm not happy. LIke you, I have ordered one, O. Fudingzhu, from Nurcar, just before you did. But, I haven't seen any blooms or smelled the fragrance yet. Looks like we might both be frustrated. Oh well, at least, we have the guaranteed one from Nurcar. Xtal...See MoreWayBackMachine?
Comments (10)Hi jen - just saw your thread today. I had looked into the Wayback machine awhile back because I was hoping that all the finished kitchens would be archived there; no such luck. It does seem to have stopped archiving the kitchen forum in Feb 2005. But even so many of the threads before Feb'05 are missing (and most of the links inside the threads are non-functional. I have a long list of unusable finished kitchens without links). The best way to find an old thread is to search google's cache. I searched google for "Cabinetry Direct jenswrens" and came up with a few hits, but not the thread you're looking for. Sorry :-( (you may need to click on the link "Cached" if a thread no longer exists but is in google's cache.) You might also want to try posting a request in the discussions area (maybe somebody saved it). Good luck! Here is a link that might be useful: google search...See Morecaflowerluver
