back again for back splash color
Comments (1)You need a transition color like a very light tan or bone. White cabinets, beige tile which is next to the brown counter. I had to do this very thing. My Giallo, when installed was much darker than I thought it would be with lots of dark brown. When I started to google, I learned you don't put brown and white together. I even had a designer come in because I was so frustrated. She said it's not working because they are competing. Brown and cream yes but not a stark white. I used Grazia Rixi creama crackle tiles and it looks very nice. It was a struggle finding the right transition tile....See MoreBackSplash Choices, long story, lots of pics!
Comments (14)Oh my -- do you have to pick so theoretically? That is, can you get much of the other stuff up and running so that you can see the context a little better, set the tiles up against the counter with the floor in sight and choose *then*? ~one who's expert at delaying choices as long as possible. Speaking of which, it's pulls-time.......See MoreBack splash help in "New to me Kitchen"
Comments (22)Can you remove the short slash? Otherwise I wouldn't add a tile splash. You've got too much intruding on the available space with the short splash, microwave, and stove panel. I think the desk area would look odd tiled since it doesn't feel kitcheny. The small counter area will need to be tiled out to the edge of the wall, and I've not seen that before. You might change the hardware to ORB to give a little visual break to the cabinetry. The pendants are beautiful but the orange blends in with the orange tones of the cherry, so new pendants could work wonders. Long term I'd want to change the countertop to eliminate the orange. I only mention it because it looks like you'd only need one slab of countertop material....See MoreKitchen back splash location new house
