This was on last page and thought i'd bump it up as i'm harvesting my catnip now for tea and to make xmas stuffed bags for my cat lovers. I love the tea and it is calming to me though i never take any kind of calming tea more than a couple of weeks straight then i change to lemon balm(my own)even buy some of the Celestial teas but i want to grow more simple herbs for tea. I change around because i think there can be too much of a good thing and they all do basically the same thing in a little different way. My lavender is also starting to bloom and was'nt sure the best time to harvest it. I've heard there were some medical uses for it but have no idea what it is as i use it for baths and its fragrance. You've created bare root trees at home! So, you can look up all the instructions for bare root plants offered by companies that sell them online. Most of these companies say plant them as soon as possible. If you have to wait a couple days, wrap the roots in moist paper or towels. If you can't do that, temporarily plant them in a ditch. I don't have bad luck with bare root trees, in general. From my perspective, the whole point of taking trees from the zo...buddies's property would be so I can take the root system. Also, I understand this is best done when the trees are dormant. I'd go back to my friend's property in October with a shovel and some flower pots. As to what to do with these...I'd dust the roots with a tiny bit of rooting hormone, then plant them in flower pots with potting soil and a dash of biotone starter fertilizer. That, or put them directly in the ground. Either way, keep them watered. Putting them in water is probably not a great idea. I understand oaks in particular are very sensitive to having part of their trunk surrounded by water.

Pineapples dont really ripen once you pick it so I would leave it as long a possible.

I have also noticed every cat takes to catnip different....my now deceased 19 year old Siamese would get all glassy eyed and you'd swear he had been out on the town all night...he would stagger in and go sleep it off....I've had other cats that had various stages of...let's fight..drool alittle....now I'm tired.... I also had a big Marmelade orange tabby...he was the sweetest cat in the world and let our little black cat about 1/2 his size push him around...but when he got into the catnip he became King Kong and wouldn't take anymore of the little pipsqueeks lip...>^,,^<..i love cats....i was just outside alittle while ago and gave my neighbor some fresh catnip for her little darling...and then told to watch out....i also had a sheltie dog that use eat the catnip....go figure...>
