Glad my comments helped although I wish the SS/white option was available now since I need appliances now. It's always puzzled me that it hasn't been more readily (Viking and American Range ranges come in white/SS but that's about it I think). It's not something new - look to the vintage ranges with their white/chrome mix. Classic finishes and yet it would be right at home in today's kitchens. I'm not sure what you mean by matte silver. Aren't some companies already doing this? I think they call it titanium or platinum or something along that line. Or do you mean a brighter, lighter finish than that? I'd like that. Some of the gray tones I've seen are awfully dull and on the dark side, at least to my eye. Then again, I'm not a fan of black appliances. Interesting to read that some people who have SS wish they had white. I don't think SS is a trend but I do think the huge predominance of SS in the market is a trend. I sure hope to see a swing towards more balanced options for us consumers.

The other option is to just get over it. :) A kitchen is a workroom. Most people prefer to choose best in class from many different manufacturers to ensure their work room works efficiently. No manufacture makes best in class in each category, so if you choose the best functioning DW, you will probably end up with a different brand range and a different brand fridge anyway. As long as everything IS stainless, it's fine. And, there are plenty of people who even mix stainless and non stainless successfully. Anyone who comes in your home and turns their nose up at coordinating stainless appliances that do not necessarily match needs to be thrown out of your home.

You folks are all 'amazing' ~ I knew I came to the right place to get help. I thought I should post an image of my kitchen, which I should have done in the first place (but my dishes weren't done) lol. I love both the white and the stainless steel. I took a good look at my kitchen today and noticed that the microwave looks like it has yellowed over a 5 year period. The plastic panel cover on the top part of the dishwasher yellowed. And those plastic strips they put on the frames of the cupboards have also yellowed. Funny, I never noticed that before. I like the white frig with the stainless steel handles too. Thanks everyone. Here is my teensy weeny kitchen.

we have bianco antico, SW origami white top cabinets, bottom cabinets are SW black bean and we went with the Blanco Black silgranit sink...LOVE IT!!! We also have a Delta Touch faucet...Love it, too! Silgranit is the way to go!
