This weekends finds at Lowes clearance rack
Comments (14)I love their clearance racks too. I have a Lowes behind my work and I have been sneaking out there on my lunch hour since the spring. It all started last year when I went to get my fall tomato plants. They werent very healthy but I hadnt been able to find any better at other stores. I thought the cashier made a mistake, she only charged me 25 cents each. She told me they just didnt look good. (which they didnt but they got better) Then I noticed they had a clearance rack... This season it seems like we have been getting 90% of our home and garden supplies there, just so I can check out the clearance! About once a week, DH likes to stop at ALL Lowes on his way home from work (about 30 mins away) to buy the discounted broken bags of mulch and compost. We live within walking distance of a Walmart, they only mark their almost dead plants at 50% off, never more. Ive been through their garden center about 6 times this season and never bought anything, clearance or not. These days I just go to Lowes....See MoreHaunting the Lowes' clearance aisle
Comments (8)Yes -- check everything carefully -- wise words. Actually, that's good advice even if you don't buy the item on clearance! As I said, we just bought tile for our hall bath. I bought a box of 2" square brown mosaic tile for the shower floor. I bought one whole box (10) plus a couple more. However, one of the 12x12s inside the box was a different color! Not a different style -- just a slightly lighter color palate in the same pattern! I was so glad my contractor had me buy a bit extra, and I was able to return it -- no delays in the project. I've always heard, Buy 10% extra. It's good advice. This post was edited by MrsPete on Tue, Dec 9, 14 at 15:46...See MoreShare Your Best Clearance Plant Deal!
Comments (19)Ditto, smilingspring! I love the roses, but don't grow them because of Japanese beetles. But to get a Bartzella for $5! I got one for $15 & thought I did darn good. Would love to get a Mr. Ed. Shirley Temple & Sarah Bernhart can be bought for $5 occasionally, but anything else is pretty rare to even find, much less clearanced....See MoreClearance at Lowes
