please help, need advice for a good sprinkler
Comments (4)I thought a rotary was an impact sprinkler??? I don't like them unless I have a perfectly round area to water...and then I don't like them for that. I have finally come back to oscillating sprinklers. These provide much more even coverage over a rectangular shape than any other kind of sprinkler. I've been trying new ones this year. The 'turbine' powered ones seem to work better than the old worm-drive type. I had bad luck with a Gilmour turbine, though. It doesn't know when to stop oscillating and ran in complete circles (under the sprinkler). Never did figure out how it was supposed to work. I have two oscillators running off of one Vigoro (Home Depot only) timer. That works okay. If you want to try a gear driven sprinkler, you can make a homemade version using a Toro or whatever gear manufacturer you like mounted on the frame for a portable impulse type sprinkler. On the subject of sprinklers, the better Craftsman brand hoses are guaranteed for life. No matter what happens to it you can exchange it for a new one without a receipt and no questions asked....See MoreNeed to choose Interior Doors and Paint - TODAY! Please help!
Comments (2)Just did a condo reno with Saddlebrook Farmhouse. In certain qualities of light it can look peachy. In others, it looks more blonde. I managed the peachy away by changing lighting. With that said, I would not recommend this color unless you like the peachy-brown color. Go with the other one that has less pattern and is more brown. As far as a paint color plan that has the best odds of working together in a range of light sources and appealing to a lot of people, this is my go-to formula. I would never call it "fool-proof" but the odds are good. Ceiling color PPG's Delicate White. Wall color BenM's Revere Pewter or SW's Drift of Mist. Cabinets, doors and trim SW Extra White. If PPG paint is an option, it's good quality and value and they can match other brand's color. PPG's Break Through on cabinets, doors, and trim is a godsend because it dries and cures quickly. PPG's Pure Performance in eggshell is awesome for walls....See MoreNeed help with a good white color for painted brick.
Comments (2)Sorry, I can’t suggest a good white S.W. paint color, but I would not call a white house with charcoal accents “blinding”. It is one of my favorite combos (my ’76 house is white clapboard with black windows and doors). BTW, I used B.M. Super White. You want white; get white. Hey, it is only paint ($$$$) but it is not a life threatening choice. Good luck and stick to your guns....See MoreNeed help with paint color that will look good with this carpet
Comments (7)Try Benjamin moore white dove paint. One of the most popular paint colors ever and it goes well with greys, taupes and browns And many other colors. You can go to the Benjamin Moore store and ask them to make up small sample cans of paint and also pick up some color cards. Take the the sample paint home and paint some largish poster boards with the various colors and move them around the room to see if you like the color in your own environment, light, and shadow, etc. You can paint your walls one color of white in a matte finish and your woodwork in a satin or semi gloss or switch to a different but complementary white for the woodwork). Also, if you don’t like the effect of your lightbulbs on your surfaces, you might try lightbulbs with a higher Kelvin whiter light like K 4000. Changing your lightbulbs might make the room seem fresher against the brown carpet. Good luck....See MoreBeverlyFLADeziner
