California faucets
Comments (13)I just used one for a new installation and love it. Nicely made (all metal; the faceplate in the similar Hangrohe unit is chrome-plated plastic), and the central large lever or knob keeps the consistant temperature you set it at. It's actually labelled in elegant imbossed degrees F, so you can set and forget it once you find your fave temp. The lower and upper smaller knobs turn 90 degrees to the side and are volume controls for two outlets - usually the tub spout for the lower control and the showerhead for the upper. However it could also be two showerheads or something else. The two outlets can be turned on or off seperately or together. My tub spout will have a diverter for a handshower, so it can be used at the same time as the wallmount showerhead, with adjustable water volume between the two.. High rate of water flow compared to some other brands. Highly recommended. Comments (1)From StarCraft's faucet reviews: "Elkay, headquartered on Chicago's Near North Side for over 90 years, is a privately owned global player in the kitchen and bath world. It owns the Elkay brand of sanitary ware, faucets and bath accessories, and also MasterCraft, Medallion and Yorktowne cabinetry -- all major brands, with eight factories in the U.S. -- and the Revere line of plumbing fixtures. With manufacturing facilities in Broadview, Illinois; Lumberton, North Carolina; and Ogden, Utah, Elkay manufactures many of its sanitary-ware products (toilet, sinks, etc.) domestically. But, it also owns Zhuhai Daya S.E.Z., a manufacturer based in Zhuhai, China. And, only a few of Elkay's faucets are actually manufactured in the U.S. Most are merely assembled here from imported, mostly Chinese, components. See the Buy American Act list at left for faucet models actually manufactured in the U.S. Elkay has never been a name that immediately springs to mind when thinking about residential faucets. But, if you are building a hotel, restaurant or public restroom, it may be the first catalog you reach for. Its designs are conservative, but so are most faucets, and most buyers prefer more conservative traditional or transition styling which is Elkay's strong suit. Elkay faucets were, historically, famous for their reliability. We're not sure that is true any longer. Elkay seems to have begun using plastic in essential parts of their faucets to contain costs. The Arezzo faucet, shown here, used to be a heavy, all brass faucet. Now significant parts are plastic, including the nozzle and grip. We don't like this trend. Look for a heavy, all brass, Elkay faucet. Blanco America, Inc. is the American division of Blanco GmbH + Co KG. Founded in 1925 as Blanc & Co. by Heinrich Blanc in Oberderdingen, Germany, its main business is the manufacture of kitchen sinks. It is the largest sink manufacturer in Germany, and one of the largest in the world. Starting with stainless steel sinks in 1951, the company has since added granite composite sinks, and porcelain ceramic sinks to its lineup. Today the company is wholly owned by E.G.O. Elektro-Garate GmbH & Co. Holding KG of Oberderdingen , Germany; a manufacturer of mostly high tech components for home and industrial appliances. Blanco is a sink company that also makes faucets. But, it makes an excellent, mostly stylish line of faucets out of solid brass using uncompromising German ceramic cartridges. In quality Blanco faucets are comparable to Grohe, Graff or Hansgrohe and similarly priced. Blanco's faucets are intended to complement its sinks. Many can be finished to exactly match a Blanco sink. The company's faucets emphasize style, and in fact refers to itself frequently as a "design" company although it does manufacture most of its own products in Germany, Canada and Turkey. Foreign-made faucets comparable to Blanco include Dornbracht, Franke, Graff, Grohe. Hansgrohe Jado, KWC, Mico, Porcher, Rohl, and THG. Comparable American-made faucets include Brizo, California Faucets, Kohler, Newport Brass/Ginger, Phylrich, Sigma, and Waterstone. "...See MoreRohl kitchen faucet? Comments (60)I ended up here, because I'm redoing my kitchen and trying to make a decision about the faucet. I have various faucets throughout my house from Kohler, Moen, Restoration Hardware, and Newport Brass. I think the Restoration Hardware fixtures are made by Newport Brass, because we had to call them when we needed to replace. We've had them from 10-12 years, so I don't know the styles or even if they are made. Almost all are polished nickel, and the Kohler and Moen are always spotless, laundry room and bathroom, respectively. I'm not crazy about the pull down sprayer on the Kohler. The Moen Showcase (do they still make this line?) is in the bathroom, and I love it so much, because I can just pour water over it and it will dry spotless. It's amazing. It is wall mount, and I wish I had it in every bathroom. Because of my success with Moen, when I needed a faucet for my kitchen, I bought an inexpensive (relative to all the other faucets I have) Moen at Home Depot. It is the only non polished nickel faucet I have. It is stainless steel, still looks brand new (10 years+), and the pull down sprayer works wonderfully. Unfortunately, I'd never buy fixtures from Restoration Hardware again. They spot like crazy. The Newport Brass are slightly better, but they also spot. I'm looking at Kohler and Moen for my new kitchen, but the choices are limited in polished nickel. Now I'll look at California Faucets, too, but I'll skip Rohl, since someone mentioned the polished nickel spots so much....See MoreWaterMark Fixtures vs. Watermark Designs
Comments (1)https://watermarkfixtures.com/faucets-plumbing/bathroom-fixtures/bath-sink-faucets/ WaterMark Fixtures of Louisiana appears to be a distributor for a large variety of manufacturers....... just like Ferguson. Popular Brands Kingston Brass WatermarkFixtures Kohler Fauceture Showerscape American Standard LuxArt Jones Stephens Gourmetier Barclay However, I do think they have designed and privately labeled some sinks and tubs made by other companies and are selling them exclusively. Not too many companies in the custom casting business anymore. The fixtures could be make in the US or in China. Companies do this all the time. The outfit out of Brooklyn called WaterMark Designs is a manufacturer of only faucets and not bathtubs or sinks etc....See MoreEllie G
