Comments (11)'is that band of different colored bark what you consider to be the graft line?' No, it is somewhat above that strip mark. You can see where the bark changes colour to darker. Dark is the scion, light is the rootstock in this particular case. More often than not scion and stock have different coloured barks. There may also be an abrupt change in thickness but in this case this is not evident. From the pics after the first it looks like the graft line is not horizontal but quite slanted. Comments (4)I’m not sure if you posted a pic, I couldn’t see one buttttt. You’re in a desert and citrus trees need a lot of sun and water. You’re not in it’s ideal living situation. It’s most likely that it’s getting too much sun and not enough water. I live in Florida and we had an issue with ours not producing lemons. Our lawn company told us to basically drown it and the shake the crap out if it and beat the branches with a broom. This might sound like a joke but this stimulates a hurricane/wind which causes the tree to go into fight or flight mode.
