Hosta Walk Garden - 2015

Starting with pics of my back yard "Hosta Walk" area, began weeding this area in 2012, most hostas planted in 2013. Haven't lost one yet and am very happy with the progress to date.

Here she is with my rubber boot (leaf size 15" wide x 21" long):
And so far this year (knock on wood) not a whole lot of slug issues.

A 2015 hosta potpourri
Comments (7)Thanks hostatakover and Jon and hostahosta for your kind comments. There is really nothing special. There is lots of compost/peat/leaf mold in the soil. A little 10 -10 -10 fertilizer around each crown in the spring and lots of water during the growing season. That is all I do....See More2015 Hostas - Pic Heavy
Comments (10)Jon, I have 4 Liberties, the largest one pictured above and below gets morning sun all the way until about 1 in the afternoon. That turns her yellow margin almost white by end of summer. She's huge, 48 eyes this year. My other 3 Liberties are much more shaded under spruce trees, quite a bit smaller, and they keep their yellow margin a lot longer.
