Help!!.baby mouse found in laundry room, laundry now piling up:)
Comments (4)If you are that freaked out by mice and can afford it, hire an exterminator. If you can't afford it, set some humane traps. NOT A STICKY TRAP. The sticky traps are horrible. They severely torture the trapped mice, and also torture the human that put them out, via guilt. No matter how much you hate mice, if you have never seen a mouse or other creature on a sticky trap, believe me, you don't want to. They are stuck to the glue, and are absolutely frantic, trying to escape. They end up tearing their own skin off and breaking bones in the process, adding to the agony. They finally give up out of exhaustion, dehydration, and injury, and death comes slowly and painfully. I hate rodents, and certainly would FREAK if they were inside my house, but I would never subject any creature to a death like that. By humane traps, I mean one of two options: A snap trap that will kill them quickly, or a trap that will allow them to crawl inside but not be able to escape. Then you have to take them somewhere and release them. Probably not high on your list ;) An exterminator will do this for you. But again, there is a cost associated. The advice given about finding the spots where they are entering is very good. Mice can get inside via a hole as little as 1/2" wide. Comments (1)I have had some for a few years, I actually got mine at the drug store, cvs or walgreens, they had lots of sizes and styles. I have enjoyed them. My friend got some after she saw mine and she needed a case so I made us each a fabric pouch case with a drawstring. She loves it....See MoreSo I bought 7 rugs...now I need your opinions please.
Comments (32)We swapped the rugs, Gold went to the living room and my DH is happy. He likes it better there and so do I. The color looks less orangey. And the size is good for that room. The silver rug looks 'OK' in the DR but is really a bit too blue for the DR and the fabric I've had for windows. It will be perfect upstairs in my snore room however when I get to that project so both are keepers and will work fine as place holders. Busybee3 - I would keep the table at the round 54" as I only do larger 10+ sit downs a few times a year. I guess I really think of the DR divided into two sections a 6 X 16 hallway and a 10 X 16; as that side is where the table lives, and the light fixture is placed accordingly. I do not want to center the table to the room as that would be trickly for walking to the kitchen. What I consider the hall is really part of the room and will have the buffet placed there. The other walls will have a china cab and server. For now I will have the silver rug placed where the large gold rug is in the first picture, but I will try with out a runner for awhile. Not ideal but will get us by to move in - While I keep my eyes peeled for the perfect rug....See MoreThought I'd share ... Sunglasses
Comments (43)Funny, I have only been in the sun once for about 30 min... then i retreated to the covered porch because I didn't have on sunscreen .. and well, I was hot! LOL I don't even go in and out of the house as much as most normal people lol. I do have very pigmented skin.. and I was wearing light makeup (but not on my neck and chest). I think the photo (at dusk) just makes me look tanner than I am. I do hope to get some color this weekend-- i need some color on my pale legs!...See MoreMy3dogs ME zone 5A
