I'm 'almost' embarrassed to ask...
Comments (14)" It would be like posting a 3-year-old's finger painting next to the Mona Lisa." LOL I like that as that's exactly how I felt when I first saw Jon's pics! Well, after I turned the pile yesterday I got to reading more and figured I probably don't have enough greens. I called Starbucks and asked them to save what they had. I brought home about 50 or 60lbs of coffee grounds! It's a shame I didn't do that BEFORE I turned the pile! Aw, well; it keeps me moving and I get a great workout! I still have lots of things stockpiled, so now I just need to figure out exactly where I want another new bed. I'm going to do that, as I don't think my body could stand removing this thick sod again! The people that lived here before put mega effort into this lawn and it shows. Now here I am trying to get rid of it! Oh! Can we compost squirrels?? (Just kidding!) Thinking ahead for my tomato harvest......See MoreI do not want to be responsible for her!
Comments (28)Bestlawn - Pure coincidence!! It was a shared office suite with 3 attorneys, 3 secretaries and a receptionist. One day, an attorney from a local city came for a meeting with my attorney. While there, she saw "her" and asked my attorney if "she" was working there. Seems the visiting attorney had been with "her" prior law firm when "she" used the firm's credit card(s). I can't remember if that's why she was let go or if she was let go and THEN took the cards. Its been a long time. In any event, my attorney told "her" attorney and his accountant started digging and found the $20k or so shortfall, at which time they stopped looking. This poor guy was struggling to put 2 kids through college and "she" was robbing him blind. However, he had given her carte blanche with the checkbook and SIGNING CHECKS and she kept all financial records, which was just asking for trouble. It was a nasty time; we were in a more or less open situation with no locks on the internal doors, only on the 2 doors to the main office area. We were afraid she might retaliate so had to hide all our discs and secure the computers until we could get the locks changed. You might check with your state labor commission, or some such agency, to see just what would be an appropriate response to inquiries so as not to set yourself up for a lawsuit :-/ She sounds like she might not hesitate to make trouble for you....See MoreI feed her, I walk her, I brush her, I take her for car rides,
Comments (18)When they were teens (17 and 18) we bought one daughter a puppy and got the other a kitten. We still have two pets, tho the younger daughter has moved into her own apartment. That dog misses her so-she waits at the top of the stairs near her bedroom door, hoping DD will come home. She never does. When she does stop by (a couple times a week) the dog goes bananas with joy, jumping and running all around. Even tho I am the one who always feeds her, lets her in and out, brushes her, and allow her to come up on my bed antime she wants. Go figure!...See MoreAlmost 4, didn't do well on hearing test
Comments (1)I think I found the answer. The technique they used (raising his thumb or hand) is called "Conventional Audiometry" and is used on children 5 years of age and older. He is not quite 4, so I suspect he was not developmentally ready yet. Or he was too distracted by the multiple commands from three adults. He's just fine! :-) Jen...See Moredonna_in_sask
