I like Nu Film 17. Use lime-sulfur when dormant with all season oil or any oil. All leaves must be off. No sticker with this. Follow label instructions for dormant spray.
I use lime sulfur on peaches. So many possible fungal infections in my area, the more weapons you have the better. It can be used in summer or in dormant season. If you want to avoid harsher synthetic chemicals, copper and lime sulfur will do fairly well. Don't use together. Lime-sulfur is a great fungicide for various leaf spots on stone fruit. Don't use on apricots. Follow label directions. So you most definitely can use lime-sulfur on peaches and when fully leafed out too. The label says it will fight powdery mildew, brown rot, brown rot blossom blight, leaf spot, shot hole, and scab.
my main concern is brown rot. I have tomatoes planted not too far away so i'd like to use something that wont burn them. I use copper soap on tomatoes. but I heard during warm weather not to use copper on the peach tree . I have some Monterey all seasons oil accordingly it can also help with fungus because the oil stops the infection from penetrating well any help would be appreciated..
marc, molasses is not going to do much to hold the sulphur on, compared to a good sticker like nufilm. Maybe its better than no sticker, though.
If you don't want to use synthetics the three best brown rot sprays are elemental sulphur plus sticker, lime/sulphur, and the combo of Serenade and that Monterey oil. I have used all three this year at some point. Wait a few days after oil to put down any sulphur, and wait until there is no more sulphur smell to put down oil after sulphur (either a lot of rain or a week or so).
